Thoughts

There's something about the time here that I don't understand. It just seems to go so much faster than back in Finland. I've been here for about a month now and the time has just gone so fast. Sometimes it feels like I've been here only a few weeks but sometimes it feels like a few months. It's weird. And the reason I'm writing in English is because I still feel so connected to Finnish and I just want to use English more. Even though I of course use English everyday here, I'm just not so used to it yet.

I love being here but during this first month, my feelings have been so mixed up. For example during my first week, I felt so lost. I just kept thinking why am I in a strange place and in a strange family all over again. But after getting some friends and seeing some places, this place is starting to feel like home. I guess it just took some time to get really settled down and get used to being here. Now my room, this house and this area really feels like home. 

"Come to New Zealand. It's far away but it feels like home."

These pictures are taken a week ago when I went for a little evening walk along the beach.

And then there was a beautiful sunset when I came home.

Today I've got some awesome things in the mail! In the morning a package had been delivered and it had all these lovely things! I can't even describe how good it felt to eat dark bread after a month of eating just toast. Kiitos ihanaiset Minna, Rosa, Aliina & Ida paketista <3

And later today I got the ticket for Adam Lambert's concert which is here in Auckland at the end of January. Can not wait!!

And I gotta show what kind of car I'm driving here! :D
So it's this huge car but it's really easy to drive. Of course it took a while to get used to the left side traffic again but this car is automatic so it's really easy and comfortable.
